A REIGN OF STEEL is Book #11 in the Bestselling series THE SORCERER'S RING, which begins with A QUEST OF HEROES (book #1)--a FREE download on , with over 1,000 five star reviews!

In A REIGN OF STEEL (BOOK #11 IN THE SORCERER’S RING), Gwendolyn must protect her people as she finds King’s Court under siege. She strives to evacuate them from the Ring—but there is one problem her people refuse to leave. As a power struggle ensues, Gwen finds her queenship under challenge for the first time—while the greatest threat to the Ring looms.

Behind the McClouds lie the threat of Romulus and his dragons, who, with the Shield destroyed, embark on a catastrophic invasion, nothing left to stand between them and the complete annihilation of the Ring. Romulus, with Luanda at his side, is unstoppable while the moon lasts, and Gwen must fight for survival—for herself, for her baby, and for her people—amidst an epic battle of dragons, and of men. Kendrick leads the Silver in a valiant battle, and he is joined by Elden and the new Legion recruits, along with his brother Godfrey, who surprises everyone, including himself, with his acts of valor. But even so, it may not all be enough.

Thor, meanwhile, embarks on the quest of his life in the Land of the Druids, trekking across a fearsome and magical land, a land unlike any other, with magical rules out of its own. Crossing this land will require every ounce of strength and training he has, will force him to dig deeper within, to become the great warrior—and Druid—he was meant to be. As he encounters monsters and challenges unlike ever before, he will have to lay down his life to try to reach his mother.

Erec and Alistair journey to the Southern Isles, where they are greeted by all of his people, including his competitive brother and envious sister. Erec has a dramatic final meeting with his father, as the island prepares for him to ascend the throne as King. But in the Southern Isles, one must fight for the right to be King, and in an epic battle, Erec will be tested as never before. In a dramatic twist, we learn that treachery hides even here, in this place of noble and great warriors.

Reece, embattled and surrounded on the Upper Isles, must fight for his life after his vengeance on Tirus. Desperate, he finds himself united with Stara, each wary of the other, yet untied in a quest to survive—one that will culminate in an epic battle at sea and will threaten the entire island.

Will Gwen cross the sea to safety? Will Romulus destroy the Ring? Will Reece and Stara be together? Will Erec rise as King? Will Thor find his mother? What will become of Guwayne? Will anyone be left alive?

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A REIGN OF STEEL is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

All 17 books in THE SORCERER'S RING are now available! Also available is RISE OF THE DRAGONS (Kings and Sorcerers--Book 1), book #1 in Morgan Rice's new epic fantasy series--a free download on with over 400 five star reviews!

A Reign of Steel Book #11 in the Sorcerer Ring eBook Morgan Rice

I'm done with the series. In this book Thor finds out he has 12 more quests to complete. Give me a freaking break. This is the author's attempt to keep the story going and get more dollars from the readers. Also introduced in this book is another set of oppressed people with a boy who thinks he is destined for something greater. Sounds like Thor in the 1st book. Also the boy falls in love with a girl. Sound like Thor falling for Gwen. The author is bringing up the same store lines all over again. I don't care how the series ends because now it's boring. Goodbye Morgan Rice.

A Reign of Steel Book #11 in the Sorcerer Ring eBook Morgan Rice Reviews

This series started out good, but after book 4 it started to get monotonous. Recycling story lines and the typos are unbearable!! Did anyone proof read or edit these books or did they publish the rough drafts!? Stories are inconsistent; Godfrey is a hero when Andronicus attacks and feels redeemed and good about himself for the first time, but then several books later when he warns the city about the McCouds coming, he again feels redeemed and good about himself for the FIRST time! Time is also warped. The first book starts out with Thor like 13 or 14 heard old, then these children get pregnant wiithin months of meeting, then shes pregnant forever, then she is ruling a country with a tiny baby. Are we to believe they are doing all of this at 15-16 years old?! Really?? The author frequently uses the wrong names for characters. Monsters outside the ring are lame, the odds of their battles are inconceivable and few of the hero's are ever beat! Gwen is supposedly the best queen ever who continued to forgive and release one traitor after another and every one comes back to attack again, including her sister! She never learns. If Thor's mother is a magical Druid, why cant she just appear for real instead of dreams causing Thor to go find her? The ring is up, down, up, down, dragons bounce off, while invaders are eviscerated, but our hero's walk right through??? Too many fallacies for me. Story is fine for young tern readers I guess, but after reading brilliant authors work like Dan Brown, I cant stomach this redundant, neverending drivel any longer. Should have wrapped this series up after five books.
The author must not have an editor and must not read anything a second time. It's like reading the first draft with each book. The only reason I've read this far is I like the story line idea. It gets harder to continue with each book. There is only so much bad writing I can take.
Morgan Rice writes like a teenage boy who squeaks by to earn a C- in English. The bones of the story are good, but by the 4th book I was enjoying highlighting errors and repeated phrases more than the story itself. I wish my let me count the times certain words appear - like 'charged', 'charging' 'charge' and especially 'charged and charged' (or for that matter, 'hiked and hiked,' 'trekked and trekked,' 'cried and cried'). There are so many extraneous words and phrases that I feel are used deliberately to fill (currently) 17 books. Finally, I think the thing that bugged me the most is Rice wrote Krohn (a snow leopard) as a dog. I don't think leopards wag their tails, pant, and lick faces - and they certainly don't whine 99% of the time.
It started off great. I loved it and couldn't put the books down. But it is drawing out forever. You can't go two or three chapters without someone almost dying and accepting their fate only to get saved by another character. The story is very repetitive and so short. These books are too much money for how bad they really are.
Not a stand alone book, part of a series and should be read in sequential order...worth the read! I just could not put it down. Some days i read for 8 hours straight. What a great fantasy ride. So much is happening in these books but the author writes it so it is easy to follow, like several little stories happening in one book. The characters I found to visualize, like and or dislike quickly. Descriptions were intense and in depth enough to make me feel as I were there in the story as a character myself.

If you like action, romance, fantasy, magic, castles, knights, battles of good and evil and valor then you will love this series. There is gruesome killing but the author does not go into a deep description and make it gory. There is great love and romance but nothing even pg rated. Lots of fantasy but not to extravagant. It amazes me how creative this author is and I constantly wondered "what in the world will happen next?".

To me a perfect story, a perfect read, and i think it would make a great movie! Reminded me a bit of the "Lord of the Rings. I would highly recommend this series and this author to anyone that even considers these mixed genres.
In this episode Morgan continues this superb story. Thor is away in a quest to find his mother in a magical land, the Land of the Druids, fighting with enemies he never thought would exist. Reece is trying to survive in the Upper Isles after his revenge against Thirus for killing Selese and he is reunited with Stara and the remaining of the loyal members to the Ring. Gwendolyn is trying to rescue her people, leading them to the Upper Isles, even against there will, as Romulus is invading and destroying the Ring with his dragons. Erec is with Alistair in the South Islands, to claim his throne upon his father death, but nothing is easy over there. He has to fight his way to the throne. Packed with action, this book will keep you entertained for hours. And there is not an idle moment until you turn the last page! Get ready for another very entertaining episode of this incredible saga. You will not get tired of following Thor, Gwendolyn and all our heroes in this new episode. Just be aware that in order to savor every moment of this episode, I recommend that you start reading from the first episode to better understand the dynamics among the characters, as well as have a full idea on the environment of the story.
